About Event
EINSTEINZ is a National Level Technical Symposium organised by the Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Thangavelu Engineering College, Chennai. The Main objective of the Symposium is to bring out the innovations and creative minds of the students from all over the nation. It’s a one-day occasion, in which we've specifically designed to meet the prerequisites of proficient professionals recurring from career break. PAPER PRESENTATION NOTE: Topic of interest for submission included, but are not limited to Artificial intelligence Artificial immune system Fuzzy logic & neural network Automatic process control Remote sensing Geo informatics Electronic drives & controllers Nano science & nanotechnology Industrial automation VLSI, Embedded system Digital image processing Rules & Regulations 1. Only 2 authors per paper. 2. The presentation must be supported by PowerPoint slides. Number of slides is 10-15. 3. Time limit for presentation is 7-10 minutes. 4. Participants must also carry a hard copy. 5. Proper references must be mentioned in the hard copy. 6. The full length papers must be submitted in IEEE format and should not exceed 6 pages. 7. The soft copy and hard copy must be submitted an hour before the start of the event. 8. Font size should be 14 for headings and 12 for the matter. 9. No colorful or flashy fonts are to be used. 10. The paper must be original and copying the paper entirely from the internet must be prevented. Send your abstracts on or before 29/07/2014 to einsteinz2k14@gmail.com technical-quiz ULES AND REGULATION Participants should form a group of minimum two or maximum three students. Participants must carry a valid identity card of their respective institutions. Questions will be asked from the basics of all engineering disciplines, daily life science phenomenon, on the basis of practical applications, current affairs in science and technology. SELECTION After Prelims, only 6 top scoring teams will be selected for next rounds. After Rapid Fire round only 6 teams will be selected for Final round. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place holders will be awarded after final round with prizes and certificates. Each participant will get a participation certificate. Note: Judges decision will be considered as final decision. Any type of false move from any member or members of any team will force us to disqualify the whole team ROBO RACE Races resides in every aspect of life and here is one for you. Tracks are ready, hurdles are set to break through and opportunity awaits to show your bot's performance. Is your wheels hot, bring it up.... Eligibility: All UG students are eligible to participate. Three racers are allowed in a team. Racers representing a particular college/institution must belong to it. Bot's specification: General:- Lego robots/ready made toys/usage of lego parts are not allowed. The Robots participating should be fit within a box of dimensions (250*250*250) mm It should be 5 kg weight or lesser. [Including battery] Both wired and wireless robots are allowed. If it is wired then wire must be long enough. Power supply:- Combustible gases, chemicals, rockets, fuel and other combustion process are strictly prohibited. Batteries like dry cell, lead acid etc. are only allowed.Participants will be allowed to use maximum on board 24 V DC power supply. Use of heavy equipment like compressors is banned. Arena: The width of the tracks is 400 mm.The Entire game field is divided into no. of sub zones. Each zones contains various hurdles which are as follows: Bridge Oil passage Speed breakers Sand See-saw etc. Slopes will be maintained angles in the range of 30 degree. Safety: The machines you build will be first checked for size and safety. The machine should not cause any electrical power breakdowns. The Robots must not contain any combustible, corrosive or other any dangerous materials. Any Robots whose strategy or operation is considered dangerous can be disqualified by the judges at their discretion Rules and Regulations: The Robot is not allowed to go out of the track or sub zone. If it goes out of track or sub zone accordingly violations will be considered and points will be deducted. The Robots are not allowed to leave their parts on the arena. In case some parts of the machine falls on the arena, the penalty will be based on judge’s discretion. During game the participants are not allowed to enter the field. Decisions taken by the judges would be final and would not be challenged. The Game field is divided into no. of sub zones and each zone has some points. If the participants is not able to complete the game field then points will be given on the basis of no. of sub zones completed. Things to Remember: Participants should carry their ID card with them. The time limit will be declared by the coordination on the spot. Sketch of the arena will be sent to the participants before three days of the race.Events
